Debate grows over Colorado golf courses, should they stay open or close
It was cleared that the golf courses in Douglas, Arapahoe and Adams counties will remain open by the Tri-County Health Department. This is done because these are the places where social-distance can be maintained. The country-wide stay-home order is giving regulations to keep the golf courses open. The counties have removed the water fountains as a fear to increase public contact risk. As long as the people maintain 6 feet distance, not touch things around, and spread germs, the area is safe and sound. Thomas, the Commissioner, has worked out a few measures in the counties to allow them to be safe for the people. This is helpful to keep the people benefited. Thomas has heard that some people are unhappy with this decision of golf courses remaining open and attracting hundreds of people to neighbourhoods. The golf course management has tried to modify the way one plays golf where nobody touches anything. They have discontinued the option for golfers to ride golf carts. All the golfers have to walk the course or use their own pushcarts. The clubs have even removed sand rakes and inverted the cup-holes. All these are multiple touchpoints and are removed to increase public safety and reduce risk.
