Xavier Becerra, who is the attorney general of California, has disclosed some of the details of the probe in which Facebook was asked to provide documents related to Cambridge Analytica. Becerra said that it had been a year since the examination is going on. The office is disclosing the details as Facebook is getting sued for failing to comply with the orders. He said in his statement that Facebook is not replying correctly to the AG office, and the company has been unable to abide by the rules to provide the documents. Thus a lawsuit will be filed in the state Superior Court in San Francisco. The state is looking into many legal and regulatory inquiries into Facebook. The country has found that Facebook has misrepresented privacy practices and broke the state’s law.
