Governor J.B. Pritzker admonished the young partygoers, who attended a house party in Chicago. The house party came into the eyes of thousands of people after the video went viral through a Facebook post. Pritzker said that those people have not only violated the coronavirus restrictions intentionally but also broke the trust of people and put them at risk. He added that he has not seen the video but heard of it, which has raised the concern among the residents.
The video was shared through live streaming on Facebook by Tink Purcell, which showed a massive house party. The video went viral overnight and has received 1.4 million views with over 60,000 shares.

An ordinance for the removal of horse-drawn carriages been sent to Chicago City Council. The council has made plans to make these carriages as a thing of the past with 46-4 votes on Friday. These wagons will be pulled out of the streets by the end of the year. The animal right activists and some aldermen continued asking for the ban on these carts for years.
The aldermen have voted on account of citing traffic congestion downtown, multiple citations from the city and animal welfare concerns. These carriages are often found carrying travellers from Chicago Water Towers to the Loop, Millennium Park, and Buckingham Fountain. The Committee on License and Consumer Protection of the city first passed the ordinance before City Council.

This will help the mayor to get over the objection of the administration for the mayor, rendering herself the authority from spending public money without the supervision of the council.
The emergency power ordinance of the mayor has been passed by the Aldermen of the council with 29-21 vote after a disputed debate. Mayor Sylvester Turner reacts on Governor's announcement for reopening.
On Monday afternoon, Governor Greg Abbott announced that the restaurants of the state could reopen with limited capacity on May 1. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has reacted on the order of the Governor and said that his orders had replaced the local orders. He said that this would let the theatres, retailers and other businesses reopen soon which will bring back the residents on the road.
He hoped that the coronavirus cases don not spike in the city after reopening in a coronavirus briefing on Monday afternoon. He added that he understands the need for opening and hope that his purpose of reopening will work. Turner also warned the residents to take precautionary measures as there is no vaccine available for this disease.
Houston restaurants are set to reopen on May 1.

Harris County has started preparing to wear masks in public as per the orders of Judge Lina Hidalgo. The state is planning to lift up restrictions slowly and establish a general lifestyle.
