Walmart Inc. launched two COVID-19 testing sites.
With the global outbreak of coronavirus, every organization has stepped up to help the nation with possible resources. Walmart Inc. opened two federal drive-thru testing sites for coronavirus on Sunday, March 22. The testing sites are located in the Walmart parking lots of Illinois, which will diagnose the first responders and health care workers of the state.
These sites have taken over the Northlake and Joliet cities of Chicago and will conduct around 150 tests a day. However, these sites will not be capable of serving the general public due to a lack of resources and medical supplies. The company has taken this initiative joining CVS Health, Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc., and Target Corporation to run COVID-19 tests. CVS Health established the first diagnosis site on Thursday in Massachusetts. All four countries were working with the federal government and joined President Donald Trump in a meeting on March 13.
