Chicago police officer ordered to go on Chicago
Chicago, United States Of America
A video has surfaced in which a Chicago police officer was seen picking up a man and slamming him to the ground during Thanksgiving day arrest. The officer has been sent to desk duty until further notice. According to the reports, his gun and badge were taken away, and he was assigned to the desk duty. He will not join the force back on the street until the Chicago Office of Police Accountability completes its review of the incident. Anthony Guglielmi, who is Chicago Police spokesman, informed about this incident in his tweet. The Office of Police Accountability is handling the case, and the officer will not return to his post until further notice, he added in his tweet. Police said that the officer had to act when a man spat in his face and threatened him. The single brief video cannot judge what exactly happened there. Mayor Lori Lightfoot said in his statement though the single video is not enough proof, whatever happened was disturbing.
