Firefighters found two people unconscious on Sunday morning
On Sunday morning, firefighters pulled a man and woman from a house fire in west suburban Maywood, officially stated by the fire department. Maywood Fire Chief Craig Bronaugh, Jr. said that multiple calls were received by firefighters about a residence in the 100-block of 9th Avenue. A woman and man discovered unconscious by the firefighters. Officials stated that both people were transported to Loyola University Medical Center. Bronaugh stated that usually everyone gets out in fires. Unfortunately, both of them didn't, and currently, that's part of our investigation.
On the second floor, there was another man who escaped and contacted the authorities. According to Lee Martin, he ran down the back staircase after seeing the flames. Thereafter, he went to the fire department for help. Chief Bronaugh concluded that to put out the flame, firefighters took nearly 45 minutes. The fire was contained to the first floor only.
No other injuries have been reported. The investigation is being done by Illinois State Fire Marshal to find the cause of the fire.

An incident took place at a South Shore high-rise in which two children have died by jumping from the 11th floor.
Police got informed by a man that his daughter stabbed him before she jumped with one of the children.
The incident took place at 7200-block of South Shore Drive at about 1:48 a.m, Chicago police immediately reported at the location after getting informed. On reaching, police found a woman in her 30s and a young child on the ground.
Police stated that when they were directed to the 11th-floor apartment by Security personnel, they found an old man with cuts to his face and body along with a young boy unresponsive in a bathtub.
The two children are 1 and 2 years old, and they were declared dead at Comer Children's Hospital. Both men and women were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, and they were reported in critical condition.
Rahin, a neighbor in that area, said that "It was insanity to me."

Male African lion of Brookfield Zoo, Zenda dies
The Brookfield Zoo said its male African lion Zenda has died at age 13. The death of the male African lion was announced by the zoo on Friday. If he had been alive, he would have turned 14 in July. According to the officials of the zoo, Zenda was facing problem in walking and standing juts before Christmas. Although the veterinarians gave him the required treatment but his health declined unusually on Thursday, as per the officials of the zoo. This resulted in euthanizing him by the zoo.
Revealed through necropsy, the zoo said that tthe loin was found to have multiple ruptured degenerative discs due to old age. These ruptures were found in his spine and the discs couldn't be operated anymore. Zenda, a geriatric lion, arrived at the zoo in the month of May 2008.
In a statment released by the zoo officials, upon his death, it was said that, "In his later years, he began losing his impressive mane, but his impressive roar could often be heard from across the park."
Zenda mated with Isis who had also come to the zoo in 2008 and will turn 15 in 2020. The health of Isis will be closely monitored by the zoo staff as she adjusts to the loss of Zenda.

Due to erosion, a lakefront house in western Michigan has fallen down a sandy bluff. In the local mountains, the wind may reach as high as 60 to 65 mph. This also includes the higher peaks of the Santa Monica Mountains.
In most areas, high-wind warnings cam on Sunday afternoon or evening and continued to remain in effect Monday 3 a.m. in Santa Barbara County, Tuesday in Orange, San Bernardino County, Riverside, and San Diego county, or Monday afternoon in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
Though red flag warnings may not come increased fire weather conditions are possible. Since the storms, fuel moisture is high, ergo, the warnings are unlikely to come. Most areas witnessed an increase in the Northerly winds, however, a few areas may saw it increase as early as Saturday night.
On Monday morning, it is expected that winds will shift and may take the form of traditional northeasterly Santa Ana winds after they have started to decrease in Santa Barbara County. Winds may reach up to 50 mph in the mountains of Ventura counties & L.A., and 30 - 40 mph in the valleys. Relative humidity may witness a low of 10% to 20%.
Kidnapper arrested at Burbank Airport
On Saturday, the Sheriff's Department of Los Angeles said that one person was arrested in case of attempting to flee out of the country, along with two young kidnapped children.
It was stated by LASD that the kidnapper took the children from their foster mother at a fast food business in the 700 block of West Rancho Vista Boulevard in Palmdale.
Suspect's abductor's car was detected by Burbank police in an airport parking structure, and they found the kidnapper along with the two children in the airport's restaurant. He was waiting there for his flight to Arizona, stated by the Sheriff's department. The suspected kidnapper was detained by the Burbank Airport Police till the deputies of Palmdale sheriff arrived and mad the arrest. The authorities further said that the Department of Children and Family Services was provided back the custody of both the children.
