Gun selling website sued by the widowed Chicago
Gun selling website sued by the widowed wife of Chicago police commander.
The widowed wife of an ex-commander of Chicago Police Department has sued a lawsuit against a website that sells guns and other ammunition online. The wife has claimed that a gun sold by the website was linked to the murder of her husband. The lawsuit has been filed against Armslist.com in the court of the US District Court in Milwaukee as per the reports. The trial has been registered by the Erin Bauer, the wife of deceased Cmdr. Paul Bauer.
Paul Bauer was allegedly killed with a 9-millimeter Glock Pistol. Reports suggest that the piece of ammunition was sold by a resident of Madison, Wisconsin, to a Milwaukee Resident, Shomari Legghette.
The lawsuit has claimed that the gun made its way to Shomari, who is charged with first-degree murder through a criminal marketplace. The suit has been accused of Armslist with negligently selling weapons without a proper background check. The officials of the indicted website have not commented yet.
