For violations including hazing & alcohol use, Ohio State suspends 3 fraternities
2 fraternities have been suspended by Ohio State University for alcohol use, hazing, and a few other violations. Last semester, the school suspended its Phi Delta Theta chapter through August 2024 and Sigma Pi and Zeta Beta Tau chapters through August 2023.
The Phi Delta Theta part was set on disciplinary probation already from February to December in 2018. The accusation is for confining new individuals for quite a long time before inception and different infringement. The Sigma Pi recently was on disciplinary probation from November 2018 through May 2019. It is presently accused of making new individuals take part in physical exercises like holding "stress positions" for missing test inquiries during new-part gatherings. Zeta Beta Tau is accused of facilitating an occasion in August where liquor was accessible to underage understudies. It recently was suspended from November 2017 through May 2019. In Nov 2017, a blanket suspension was issued by Ohio State for all 37 Interfraternity Council members after 11 chapters came under investigation.
