Trump counters governors' pleas for help
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there are tension between the federal government of USA and the state governors. Although Donald Trump has said that they are working in a co-operative manner with the state government and he further played the video of the New York Governor praising the steps taken by the federal government but he continues to stand on his opinion that federal government cannot be responsible for carrying out testing for every community.
He further said that the federal government is trying to provide state Gov. with needed supplies. The administration is trying to finalise a deal with a company which will help in producing 10 millions swabs per month and using the power under the defence production act to force another company to match the same number of swabs i.e. 10 millions therefore in total 20 millions swabs will be produced per month.
Last week Trump has said that they are providing 5 millions nasal swabs but on Sunday he said that some states don’t know where they are.
The most important issue for state Gov. is that of lack of supplies. Reacting to the issue Trump compare the nasal swab as a complex tool with a Q-tip.
With the increasing tensions Trump has decided that Vice president Mike Pence will call the Governors of the state to discuss corona virus testing and locally tailored testing strategies
The tensions between the state Governors and the federal government were visible from series of tweets by Trump saying that the state Governors are complaining and trying to politicizing the issue of testing.

Free live streaming movie premiere of local comedy
Filmmaker Jeff Orig has decided to hold a free online premiere event of Waikiki PD. The event will conduct interviews from virtual carpet, prizes for the at-home audience, and at last the post-film commentary, the game will begin at 7 pm.

The director and the crew members have decided to give an official movie t-shirt and will be treated to A-list swag to the first 20attendees to the virtual premiere of the movie. A MALE DIED IN SHOOTING IN MEMPHIS

The four businessman wrote about how COVID-19 might effect the tourism and business industry by saying that “The deeply unsustainable cancellation of all public events in our city for 2020 will irreparably damage if not destroy our city’s culturally important French Quarter - our tourist industry, and most businesses in general,". They further said that “heart and soul of our city cannot survive this complete ban on conventions and events" that drive the New Orleans' economy and “staying closed is not a plan,"
Sedgwick County records only 2 patients
On Sunday, 1849, COVID-19 patients were reported increasing from 1790 patients on Saturday by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Sedgwick County had 234 patients on Sunday, which was only two more than Saturday.
The number of deaths has increased by 6 with four patients in Sedgwick County, and Sumner and Cowley's counties have each recorded one end.
In the Kansas range, the age of patients is varying from infant to 99. The median age of the patients is 51.390 people suffering from COVID-19 have been hospitalized, but hospitalization in the range is not enough for all the patients. 16,281 negative have been recorded till now in the Kansas range
Sedgwick County has a testing rate of 4.64 per 1000 people, with 2394 people tested and continues to lag behind testing in the Kansas City area.
Reno County in the Wichita area is having a testing rate of 5.89, Butler County 12 and 3.78, Harvey County five and 3.69, Sumner County three and 2.89, Cowley County one and 3.24, and Kingman County zero and 3.36. Wyandotte County in the Kansas City area has 417 cases with a testing rate of 10.61. it is the most affected county in the state. Further, Johnson County has 372 cases with a testing rate of 6.20, Leavenworth County has 128 cases with a testing rate of 11.28, and Douglas County has 43 cases and testing rate of 9.05.
According to the race data available in the state, 74% of cases and 65% of deaths are white, about 20%cases and 33% deaths are black, and other races are constituting 5% cases. In contrast, the ethnicity data shows that 22% of cases and three %deaths are Hispanic or Latino. the black community is getting infected at a rate of 3 times more than that of the white population, while the black people are dying at six times the rate of white people
Sedgwick County Health Department reports are suggesting that 33 cases are due to travel, 113 cases are expected to close contact with another patient, 75 cases are due to community spread while 21 cases are still under investigation. 242 cases were being reported in the daily report by the local public health officials, with 128 local patients recovering.
