Treasure under San Francisco
Day after day, residents in San Francisco march through the streets of the city without having an understanding about the history of this city's wilderness in concrete. Many people do not know the about 40 vessels are hidden under the Esplanade and the Capital Districts, the main shoreline of the city formerly. The significant proportion of vessels are fragments of the Goldrush, which men, in quest of vast wealth, have abandoned far behind in the San Francisco Bays. Now, all the vessels which have been left are secret images of the history of the city. And many other towns and cities demand notability, but the joints of Goldrush and the sideboards of vessels once ferried by forty niners lie underneath the city's roads and sidewalks.
Whereas some ships, including the Niantic and Gen Harrison, have been recast for use by 49-ers, several vessels have gladly been submerged. San Francisco used to have a legislation at that time that permitted property rights where a certain vessel has been sunk to the bottom. So, people who wanted to take up residence somewhere in the city had to use it those vessels which immediately dropped would have a holder proclaiming the piece of land. This was the case for Rome, which had been found in 1994 (too big to decontaminate) underneath the ferry building's bocce game.
