The popular caterer of the city, Jackson Hicks, died at the age of 73 on Saturday, April 25. He was known as the city's "Prince of Parties". He passed away tragically at the house of the former mayor of Houston, Annise Parker. He has created several grand parties and events of celebrities and power players with 35 years of experience in Catering and Event Planning.
Bradshaw-Carter is handling the arrangements of his funeral. He got retired from his work in the year 2017 after completion of around 15,000 events in his career. He owed Jackson & Company in the city and celebrated royalty, entertainment and helped to preserve the culture of the city.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has announced the amelioration of food delivery services for the needs people of the city this week. The city offered food to around 500 homes this week and help the residents with disabilities in the pandemic. Now, the officials have planned to feed 1,000 people for the upcoming two weeks.
The city has collaborated with METRO to deliver the food to the people. Turner said that they don't want to leave anyone in the time of crisis in a press conference on Friday. Houston restaurant plans to open disobeying the orders of Harris County.
Federal American Grill, a Houston-based restaurant, has planned to open one of the dining rooms for the customers on Saturday in defiance to the Harris County "Stay at home" orders. The owner of Federal Grill, Matt Brice, said that the mayor of Hedwig Village is working with the plan as the restaurants of that city are open for dinner amidst pandemic.
He opposed the regulations imposed by the county on restaurants and said that they should shut down everything or nothing. The restaurant has set its plan to reopen with several precautions. They have reduced the numbers of diners by 30% and availed gloves and masks for every employee.
Bank of America cooperating Houston nonprofits to conduct relief programs in the pandemic.
Bank of American has appreciated the work of local Houston nonprofit organizations and collaborated with them to help the needy people. The bank has contributed $1.4 million in a partnership with the 23 nonprofit organizations. The organizations are working to avail basic and essential services like rental assistance, medical services, homelessness prevention and hunger relief.
Bank of America Houston Market President Hong Ogle said that the Houston local nonprofit organizations are doing a great job to help the people suffering severely in the crisis. He added that he is able to create a difference in society with the help of these local nonprofits.

A man shot dead his mother between a dispute on Saturday in SW Houston
A man has a charge for allegedly killing his mother on Saturday. The incident occurred inside a house in Southwest Houston. Harris County deputies got a report of a shooting at around 12:20 a.m., inside a home in the 10100 blocks of Sagedale Drive in southeast Houston, near Pearland.
On their arrival, police officers found a 37-year-old woman dead on the scene. According to Officers, a 20-year-old man, Jacob McMurrough, shot his mother during a dispute. The Court Documents read that the conflict broke out after his mother struck his grand[parent's car. The argument intensified as he claims his mother abused him physically and emotionally.
The Sheriff of Harris County Sgt. Greg Pinkins told that the man went outside to his car in the middle of the fight and brought a gun. Then he shot his mother several times. According to Deputies, the victim's 91 and 96-year-old grandparents were also in the house at the time of the shooting. The man was taken into custody, and his bond was set at $75,000.

Tesla has decided to ask some employees to return to work at its factory in Fremont, California, from next week. Joe Evert was called by Brian Knick to help in reviving ventilators for the hospital in California. Evert, who is the director of operations at GB Remanufacturing in Long Beach, California, found someone who could help create his models to make the ventilators work again. Knick, who runs Knick Machining in Bozeman, was happy to help.
Evert, who previously spent ten years living in Bozeman, eventually sent 100 ventilator parts to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. He worked closely with Knick, as well as his son, Zack Evert, who attended Montana State and is GB’s engineering manager. El ministro del Trabajo, Eduardo Piñate, anunció este lunes 27 de abril que el salario mínimo será aumentado a partir del 1 de mayo a 800.000 bolívares los cuales corresponden a Bs. 400.000 sueldo base y Bs. 400.000 de cestaticket. El ajuste del salario mínimo y el cestaticket se eleva desde los Bs. 450 mil en un 77,7% que, al expresarlo en dólares, al cálculo de la tasa del Banco Central de Venezuela (Bs. 171.072,85) se sitúa en un total de 4,6 dólares. A la espera de la lista de precios oficial con el que el Ejecutivo aspira a regular 27 productos, el nuevo ingreso mínimo de los venezolanos apenas alcanza para comprar un cartón de 30 huevos, que actualmente tiene un valor de mercado de justamente Bs. 800 mil. En la región El salario mínimo más bajo en la región de América Latina es el de Venezuela con $4,6 de acuerdo con el ajuste decretado este lunes 27 de abril y el más alto alcanza los US$520. En algunos países como México, Uruguay y por supuesto Colombia, ya se han realizado ajustes del salario con el inicio del año; otros cambiaron sus salarios mínimos en el transcurso de los últimos meses.
