The food bank helps 1.1 million people struggling with food insecurities across the state in 18 counties. Now because of the contamination, they are unable to fulfill the requirement. Brian Greene, who is the president of Houston Food Bank, said in his statement that they run 24 hours a day, and now they need the help of the community to replace the lost food. The estimated loss was worth $2.7 million.

A man was found dead outside an apartment complex on City View Place on Friday night in Houston. However, the police are not sure about the cause of death. Police discovered the man's body near 16811 City View Place at around 9:20 p.m. The man was found in severe conditions with various head wounds. Cullen Duncan, a sergeant from Houston police, reported that the man's injuries were also consistent with being dragged or struck by a car. The man was also missing his clothes when found. Duncan further added that the police are trying to determine the exact circumstances for the situation. The police are not sure whether the person died in the apartment or was dumped near the flats. An eye witness informed the police that he saw a black car speeding away from the scenes. However, the officials are not sure whether that is connected to the crime or not. Investigators are working on finding the surveillance footage of the area and other witnesses to determine what happened.

The airport officials in Houston seized two innocent-looking shampoo bottles. The bottles which looked innocent in the first looks have more than 35 pounds of liquid cocaine-filled inside them. The cocaine is believed to be valued at more than $400,000. The package was seized by the US Customs and Border Protection department. The officials of the department took the bottles from the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas. The officials found out about the bottles after checking the bags of a passenger at the Airport on Monday. The officials informed that the accused is a 26-year old Colombian. The would-be smuggler would be deported back to his native country. The officials from CBP have handed over the cocaine to the Houston police. A spokesperson has informed that the accused man was not arrested or charged. The CBP only presents the cases, and it does not file charges against the criminals. She further added that the duty of recording the charges lies with the law enforcement department or the Justice Department.

Kanye West did surprise music performances in two jails of Harris County in Houston on Friday. The superstar performed various songs and said a few inspirational words to the inmates. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said that Kanye told the inmates that "this is a mission and not a show." Sherrif tweeted about the incident. The show was kept a secret from the public. The rapper who has turned into a gospel singer performed on songs from his latest gospel album, "Jesus is King." Kanye along with his choir, performed in front of more than 200 male inmates at one jail facility. Kanye then crossed the street and performed in front of a smaller number of female inmates in another facility. 4) Every year, the 500 bus stops will be upgraded

5) Revamp of at least 2,000 crossings identified.

6) 2,500 pedestrian signals each year

"I'm happy to sign a new law on safe streets and to further the optimistic efforts that we have begun under Vision Zero," said de Blasio.

Leeds police have arrested an unlicensed driver after he led the police on a high-speed chase. According to the police reports, the 26-year-old driver sped off in his Audi A4 when he saw police on Stanningley Road. He started running from the police at around 9:10 PM. The officers on the scene illuminated the police car’s blue lights, but Elliott Linley, who was driving the vehicle, did not stop. While he was on Inner Ring Road, he reached the speed of 60mph while the speed limit on that road is 40mph. He ran a red light and took a turn off a slip road and ran a second red light. After that, he started to drive on the wrong side. It was raining at that time, which further made the situation catastrophic. He entered early guilty pleas for dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance, driving without a license, and failure to surrender.
