So what are those things?
These massive rims that extend several inches from the wheel are called swangas or elbos.
These swangas or elbos are a big part of Slab Culture, a very Houston hip hop thing.
A Google search for Texan Wire Wheels reveals that some of these cost nearly $5,000 for a set of 4. So, they are not cheap.
They're not cheap. A Google search for Texan Wire Wheels shows some cost nearly $5,000 for a set of 4.
But here is the question, are they legal?
There is nothing specific in Oregon Law about the wheel widths, but vehicle width is limited to 8 feet 6 inches, and those accessories would make up part of that vehicle's width.
