Long Beach mayor Robert Garcia announced that as the coronavirus has hit hard, they will reopen the economy soon for childcare purposes. In May, the mayor said that early childhood education is the necessary service and needs to reopen for a better future. Increasing COVID-19 cases in Long Beach
It was the worst day as long beach confirmed 184 COVID-19 cases since last seven days, the worst week ever happened.

The regular fundraising events have been halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. An all-volunteer organization, Steel Magnolias, raises money for the Stramski Children’s Developmental Center which is located at Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital in Long Beach. This organization has turned to local restaurants in order to launch the “Dine Local & Do Good” fundraising event. They have bought $7,000 worth of gift cards from eight different Long Beach restaurants and will sell 400 tickets at $100 per piece. On June 1st, ten winners will be announced their Facebook page. $750 worth of gift cards will be given to Four winners while $500 in gift cards will be given to six winners. You can even buy a $125 ticket and if you do that, you will be rewarded with an additional $250 gift card. This is meant to be donated.
Long Beach officials to lift curfew this Thursday
Long Beach officials are planning to lift the curfew soon to bring back the economy on track. Mayor George Bass issued new orders on Thursday, stating that the curfew instituted in the Emergency Proclamation of Executive Order issued on March 31st will be lifted at 5 a.m. on Friday. According to the Director of Community Affairs Jenny Levens, the order had been passed to make things normal. "A step forward in the aspect of returning to normal. It was one of the last restrictions that were put in and should be one of the first removed. If we have any problems or the police are having issues from this, we can put it back in place if necessary. For now, we are lifting it, and we're trying to return to some normalcy." The order also requests the residents of Mississippi as well as the City of Long Beach to follow the issuance of the governor's 'safe at home' law.
House on ray road got damaged due to fire
At about 2:00 pm on Ray Road in Long Beach, the fire broke out, which caused damages to the home, but the family residing in the house managed to run away at the right time. As soon as the fire broke out, firefighters were called. On arriving, the firefighters managed to rescue the house from fire, but before firefighters had arrived, the house had already suffered damage, and the house was full of smoke. A 31-year-old man killed after a motorcycle crashed during the test drive into a concrete wall in the centre mall parking lot.
A man named Jake Dunwoody of Omaha was seriously injured in the crash. The incident happened at 1:40 p.m. at the mall,4001 centre St. he was then taken to the Nebraska medical centre, and there he was declared dead.
Dunwoody was having a keen interest in buying a motorcycle. Dunwoody was told that he will be driving dirt bikes while growing up in western Nebraska.
He was already told that if he goes fast and able to control it, then he might get injured.
Dunwoody was going smooth, and he was comfortable with the rid but suddenly speed increased. Stock told Dunwoody to slow down the speed with pressing the clutch at that time, but Dunwoody accelerated more and then he hit the wall and crushed.

Lockdown has been extended to May 8
