The murder trial of Robert Durst begins in LA.
Robert Durst, who is a New York-based real estate scion and the subject of the ‘The Jinx’ on HBO is going to face murder charges of the death of Susan Berman. In the final episode of the Junx, he seemingly admitted to committing three crimes while mumbling to himself when he was going to a restroom wearing a microphone for the recorded interviews. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Windham later referred to this as “a succinct confession.”
Durst was heard saying on the live mic “What the hell did I do?” followed by “killed them all, of course” ten seconds later. Though it sounded like a confession, new information has come up that suggests it was edited out of sequence and it is only a part. Just a day before the sixth and final episode of The Jinx aired on HBO; he was arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the death of Berman.
