Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti made an important announcement today in which he said that all the residents of Los Angeles, even if they do not have symptoms, can go and get themselves tested for COVID-19 at no cost. He added that LA would be the first major city in the US to offer wide-scale testing to all the residents with or without the symptoms.
He also added that those who have symptoms would be the first priority. The mayor said this policy would start tonight. It will help determine who is safe to go back to work when the economy begins to gradually reopen.

The city of Carson start a free test for COVID-19 on Monday
From this Monday the city of Carson will provide free tests for COVID-19 to all its residents this was the first city to start in California. The test will have done even if they are not having COVID-19 symptoms and also in the neighbor communities. They need to first register themselves online and receive an appointment. When they confirmed they will get an ID or a utility bill confirming the individual’s residence. The test result will come in 24 to 36 hours. The testing site is available at the Carson community center mayor Albert robles and the city council will dedicate the opening of the testing site at 10 a.m. Carson united with L.A based non-profit organization which provides food and drug administration. Carson’s population is having 25% African American and 40% Latino. Carson already has 199 positive cases of COVID-19 on April 23 and highest in L.A. county.
LAPD Chief appreciated Angelenos for keeping beaches empty and following social distancing
Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore appreciated the Angelenos for their awareness on COVID-19 as many beaches were bare on Saturday. This acknowledgment came as it was one of the hottest days of the month in Southern California, and many residents had just stepped to streets in defiance of the Stay Home order issued by Gov. Newsom. Moore said on his Twitter: "My compliments to our community for staying away from the beaches in LA. From Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice, to Dockweiler - All Clear!! Safer at Home will get us there sooner." He also posted some photos of Beach area Los Angeles showing nearly empty stretch.
Recent heat waves brought thousands of people to Orange County beaches on Friday, which included some protestors who want the state to reopen. Earlier this week, the Orange County Board of Supervisor voted, keeping some beaches and outdoor areas open, but parking lots will remain closed. The officials have asked people to avoid traveling to other counties as the stay-at-order is loosened. The beaches in neighboring counties remained closed.

El homicidio fue en Cojedes. Cicpc detuvo a Franklin Franco, de 50 años.
Franklin Nacarys Franco Torres (50), apodado "El Apureño", fue detenido por funcionarios del Eje de Investigaciones de Homicidios, base San Carlos del Cicpc, por asesinar a un hombre, al no cancelarle un dinero prestado. La víctima fue identificada como Ángel Orlando Sequera Pérez (58). El crimen se perpetró en el sector El Potrero, parcela Rancho Alegre, parroquia El Pao, municipio Pao de San Juan Bautista del estado Cojedes. Tras realizar las investigaciones de campo y entrevistas, se conoció que ambos discutieron por un dinero que Franco le había prestado a Sequera, y este aún no le cancelaba. Después de varias horas, 'El Apureño' sacó un arma de fuego y le disparó al quincuagenario, huyendo del sitio. Los expertos del Cicpc aprehendieron al homicida en el sector La Fe, se le incautó una escopeta calibre 12 mm y quedó a la orden de la Fiscalía Primera.
