A TEACHER GETS ONLINE SURPRISE FROM HIS FORMER STUDENTS AS AN APPRECIATION
There are so many wonderful teachers in the Philadelphia School System who create an impression in the classes on their pupils, and they do the same in the online class too.
One is Eric Snipe, a fourth grade mathematics and science teacher at North Philly's Noble Luis Munoz-Marin Primary school.
"I love to transform lives. I love having a glow in their eyes. I enjoy when the time of 'oh' arrives and the light bulb goes off," Snipe told Local news channel. "I use music a lot in my classes.
I create real-world interactions." Later, when several of his former pupils and their parent entered the Zoom call, they shocked Snipe without him thinking about it in advance.

7 states join consortium including PA, NJ and Del to buy medical equipment
An increasing number of cases had lead to the scarcity of medical equipment in many states. To solve this issue, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware will be joining a multi-state consortium which is aimed to provide supplies of medical equipment through regional supply chains.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, and Delaware Gov. John Carney announced on Sunday in a news conference hosted by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo that they will be joining the cooperation. These three states will also be joined by New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
All these seven states will jointly work to develop a supply chain of medical equipment, including PPE, ventilators, and testing kits.
The shortage of medical equipment had been a problem for the entire U.S., with states complaining about bidding wars against each other for equipment.
Carney highlighted the problems with purchasing these for small states.
“If we’re going head-to-head with New York, we’re not going to get [the medical equipment],” Carney said. “If we’re along shoulder-to-shoulder with [Gov. Cuomo] and with Gov. Murphy and Gov. Wolf, we’ve got a good chance of getting a better price and of getting the product that we need.”
Wolf also appreciated the benefits of the combined market as this can encourage manufacturing what we need and even manufacturing test kits.
Governors also highlighted that the consortium not only aims to purchase the equipment but also try to manufacture our stuff.
