Catholic church delays resuming public mass amid Coronavirus spread risk
On Tuesday, Leaders of the Catholic Church in Iowa said that they would not resume the public Mass in the churches despite the decision by Gov. Kim Reynolds, which had allowed religious services. The bishops of Iowa’s four dioceses — Sioux City, Des Moines, Davenport, and Dubuque — had issued a letter for the same. “The spread of the COVID-19 disease remains a real and present danger,” they wrote. The letter also read that many parishioners and priests are also vulnerable to the virus, either due to age or other factors. The spread of the virus has not peaked yet in Iowa, and there the testing services are also weak, which do not permit a resumption of the public Mass. They said they would monitor the situation “through the weeks of May and beyond.” Whereas in Nebraska, the Catholic Archdiocese of Omaha has allowed Masses and other forms of liturgy from Monday, May 4. However, the archbishop is leaving the decision up to pastors and their parish councils if they are in areas that are at high risk.

UCHealth a part of the clinical trial for Remdesivir on dosage and time it should be given
Colorado hospitals are testing the effectiveness of the experimental drug Remesivir which may fight against COVID-19. According to Denver's health, they were involved in the National Institute of Health clinical trial to check the effectiveness of the drug. At the same time, UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital was doing a trail to check the dosage, and time Remdesivir should be given to a patient.
Juan Rivera was in ICU at UCHealth for treatment of COVID-19. She was later asked to participate in the trail of Remdesivir. This trail was meant to determine how long the drug should be given to a patient. Rivera was amongst the 31 patients to be part of the trail. He now believes that the drug had helped him recover. The UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital is one of the 150 hospitals participating around the world to determine whether Remdesivir should be given for five days or ten. Dr. Campbell is a professor at the CU School of Medicine and is helping UCHealth for the study. Dr. Campbell says that this trail will reduce the consumption of drugs as only half the amount of drugs would be used in five days. There is no FDA approved treatment for COVID-19. Remdesivir is also an antiviral drug that works just like other antiviral drugs.
