“Since I was in middle school I’ve known what I wanted to do with my life and how I want to live my life; In middle school the American Dream within me started to grow and directed me into the person I am today.” (Carlos). He stated he’s always wanted to become America’s next biggest Lawyer and an Entrepreneur. In high School he was involved in Soccer and Tennis and was a tennis and soccer star gaining recognition. He made CIF for the first time in his school's history and had the best overall win/loss ratio. He graduated at the age of 17 with a Criminal Justice pathway. Right after high school he stated that he enrolled in Community College at Allan Hancock College with 22 enrolled credits and the Criminal Justice Pathway. Although he is taking almost double the units of what is considered a Full-Time student, he still manages to work 5 hours a day at a retirement home and find time to work on other dreams he aspires to be.
Also right after graduating high school he quickly began to work on my dreams of becoming an entrepreneur by launching his Candle Business known as ‘Luxury Scented Candles’ providing candles with “Unique smelling scents that you couldn't find anywhere else”. He admitted the launch lacked promotion and advertisement therefore lacking sales and eventually caused the website to shut down within only a week. He stated he was “not happy” with the results after so much hard work of finding unique scents people would love. “I do not believe in flopping especially after having such a well crafted product so I decided to move my Candle business to Amazon.com where it is now in a better place and slowly moving forward with the amount of sales and reviews I had additionally thought it was going to get.” (Carlos).
On top of selling his Candles on amazon.com he also sells high demand products such as phone cases, sponges etc. that are imported from china. After only a month on amazon he quickly rose to become #12 of amazon's best seller.
“On top of going to school, going to work, and selling on amazon. I also have various stocks purchased in the Stock Market. I am always looking at the stock market.” He says. “Another source of income I have is purchasing cars and flipping them for a profit. For example, I will go to an auction for cars online and see what kind of deals I may come across, purchase the vehince, fix the car if there is any problems and resale.” (Carlos). He plans to attend Law School after earning his bachelor's degree in Economics and Administration of Justice. “I know I can easily become one of the best lawyers in my state because of the passion and love I have for arguing and fighting for my future clients.” (Carlos)
“My number 1 pet peeve is when I see other people sell drugs or other illegal activity and claim they’re an Entrepreneur because I feel like I am doing the bare minimum to barely call myself an entrepreneur, they just don't know what it takes to be an entrepreneur and it overall just makes me cringe and feel bad for them.” (Carlos)
He has a total of 6 sources of income and is looking to grow that number.
Carlos’s approx. annual earnings is around 70k with a net worth of around 180k.
