According to the New York Post, Norah O'Donnell's July move from morning to primetime does not do good in terms of ratings.
The New York Post reported "CBS Evening News" ratings for the week of Oct. 7 had plunged to 5.1 million. For the targeted audience of 25 to 54 of age, the numbers has been dropped by 25 percent (compared to the same week last year).

CBS Evening News is looking for new plans and startegies to get out of its spot behind the "World News Tonight" of ABC, which estimates 8.7 million audiences, and the "Nightly News" of NBC, with an 8.1 million viewer.
Other networks also see ratings falling. According to Nielsen Ratings, "World News Tonight" lost 5% of its viewers the week of Oct. 7 relative to the same week a year ago and "Nightly News" lost 9% of its viewers from the same week a year ago.
