Father and daughter busy in making hygiene kits for the homeless in LA
A resident of LA, Michael Batistick, and his 4-year-old daughter Mia had got themselves busy with making 100 hygiene kits for the homeless all-around LA.
Michael used to work rigorously for the homeless with SELAH, but current closures and stay-at-home had forced him to change his way of providing help. So, he and his daughter had made a building station at their home to create hygiene kits. By this activity, Batistick aims to spend some fun time with his daughter.
Batistick said: "Right now, we can't do direct engagement. We cannot go out and do what we usually do. So right now, we're trying to do what we can without putting people experiencing homelessness at risk,"
As he and his daughter Mia are stuck at home, this provides them with an excellent way to spend some quality time and also teach Mia the importance of giving back.
"We're probably doing this all weekend because there's 100 to make, and we have eight made, but it's a fun thing to do," he said.
If you also wish to help the homeless, you can visit www.selahnhc.org for more resources.
