Since late 2019, COVID-19 may have been San Francisco
Since late 2019, COVID-19 may have been spreading in Bay Area
The virus, as a new report suggests, could have been in the Bay Area long before they started looking for it. The Health Officials are now trying to figure how long COVID-19 has prevailed. It could have been in Bay Area and circulating since late 2019 December, suggested Santa Clara County's Chief Executive, Dr. Jeff Smith, in an article in the LA Times. This data was collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Local health departments. Dr. Smith said because of the severe flu season that Bay Area suffered, it overlapped in symptoms of Coronavirus that lead to lagging in detection. The guidelines, then, were to screen travelers who had recently been in Wuhan, China, while it was already spreading within the community. The first case of the Bay Area was in late February of a woman who had been sick for weeks. From that point, every positive case pointed to a local spread. Due to the delayed start of community surveillance, the medical leaders could not catch the "community spread" of the illness earlier. Researchers are looking into the blood banks in Los Angeles and San Francisco, among other major cities, to see if lingering antibodies can show them what was missed.

Wine distillery turned into Sanitizer industry to pay tribute to Medical workers
Today, we need high amounts of hand sanitizers to keep ourselves safe and clean. The markets are running out of stocks because of limited production capacity. Two brother distillers changed the procedure of liquor manufacturing and started the production of hand sanitizer.
In such a time when businesses are getting closed these brothers needed to increase the number of employees and worked 24x7 to manufacture hand sanitizer and distribute it for free among the people of Texas. The name of these brothers is Travis Widmeyer and Chris Widmeyer. These are the owners of Whitmeyer's Distillery.
Travis while pointing towards the storage said "Right now, we've got finished gallon pallets over here. We've got 240 gallons per pallet,".
"This is a way for us to kind of get on the front lines and fight this thing with the rest of Houston," said Chris.
Due to this, they received one of the largest orders in their lives.
They fulfilled the order for free and donated it for the people.
Chris explained that he did all this to pay tribute to medical staff, nurse and to the hospital because 3 years ago when his daughter was suffering from flu the medical staff worked very hard all round the clock to save his daughter's life.
He hopes that this sanitizer will protect the nurses, doctors and other medical staff. "We're really able to help a lot of different people in a lot of different ways and we're just so happy to be able to do it," said Travis.
