Undefeated 49ers have a 2014 Warriors Bust-Out Feeling

Five years ago, the Warriors shocked the NBA when they began the season playing like an improved team, and jumped on a rocket to the moon. The 49ers are giving away the same kind of vibe.
I'm not saying that they're going to go to the Super Bowl five seasons in a row, starting with this one. But after Sunday's 20-7 beatdown of the once-powerful Rams, the 49ers have a chance to be the season's bust-out NFL team.
Boring? Boring? No longer. There are legitimate excitement and a buzz around the 5-0 49ers.
Sunday's win was the most impressive of them, and it's getting harder and harder to call the 49ers a fluke.
"We won all of these (five) games differently," said Jimmy Garoppolo, quarterback. "That's exactly what a good football team is."
Five games in the 49er's brand are taking shape. Since they were unbeaten, the form is pretty good. Can it be the football version of the Warriors? Ok, there are some of the same elements.
Defense, to begin with. For all their glamor, the Warriors built their mini-empire on a rock-solid defense. Sunday, the 49ers were steamrolled by the Rams on the opening leg of the game, then dug in and pitched a stone-cold shutout for 55 minutes and 25 seconds— against a team that just last season was lighting up the NFL like it was playing pinball.
